This is an introductory lesson about communication in art, discussing two different artists and implementing themes in a watercolor portrait art piece.

This lesson allows students to engage with each other as they discuss and share their items that are personal connections to them as well as create observational acrylic paintings.

This lesson will challenge students to think critically in the way they describe home and create their final art piece communicating that meaning.

In this final lesson, students will be able to look back the three pieces they have created along side their peers while discussing and evaluating their artistic choices.
